Methodology & Skills
As an User eXperience (UX) designer my work is not to create just appealing visual elements, but a unique experience that will satisfy the user.
My level of intervention goes mainly through 3 phases:
- Pre-production (Output: a powerpoint/excel document.)
- Ideation phase
- Market analysis
- Competitor benchmark
- Features list
- Production (Output: A Pdf document, a design toolkit, Photoshop & Png files for the designs)
- Creating the wireframes (the layout and the interactions of the whole product)
- Writing the functional visual specifications. It is the wireframes + some annotations for explaining how the product and the interactions works.
- Creating the design itself (the emotion) of every pages/components
- Internal testing/refinement
- Checking the quality. Indeed watching and controlling how the developers develop and implement the design in the app is a must-do
- Post-production
- Gathering feedback (from users/clients)
- Filtering & prioritizing the enhancements
- Handling wish-list and roadmaps
